This is mostly in celebration of finding a 6 of Brooklyn’s Black Chocolate Stout, being the first person to crack a case of Stone 13th where I get beer from, and being the second person to score some of Southern Tier’s Creme Brulee Stout at the same place (I got beat by Gene from work, who called and told me about it, prompting a trip up there). Glad I got it. Apparently when Capital Ale House got it in stock, someone bought their whole stock. Wow.

Anyway, bed.

Incredible. Been in my head and on repeat all day.

And on your first quest, after the slave ship you’re on crashes, you rescue a girl who wants to sex you! And I’m a girl! Exciting.

I haven’t really played enough to make a huge list of impressions..other than the install size is ridiculous. It comes on 2 DVD’s and my install file is something in the neighborhood of 20GB. Not to mention the 800MB of patches I had to download to even sign on the first time. If I make it past the first month though, then you can consider it good. If not..

• Instead of fighting hordes of white trash/other unseemly folk, you have to fight boxes. Tons of them. In the middle of the aisle so you can’t get to the cool stuff.
• No beer after midnight. And they had the Blue Moon summer ale that I wanted to try that I haven’t so much as seen ANYWHERE yet.
• Two aisles open and there’s a dozen people in each line. And the 24-hr Wal-Mart around here doesn’t have self-checkout. I know know if it’s just because they’re afraid people will break them or what, but when I only need like 3 things and am paying with a credit card, it sure would make my life a hell of a lot easier. Or they can open more aisles, so there’s only 6 people per line instead of 12. Whichever
• One of the things I needed to get were some CD-Rs. Apparently at some point the 24-hr Wal-Mart decided that it needed to close the electronics department from 11 to 7am! WTF? Now, to be fair, I’ve been through that electronics department at 3am and it is usually ransacked with shrinkwrap and security stickers everywhere. So how about paying someone the $7/hr or whatever to sit there and staff it? Because whenever the electronics department was like that, there was NOONE there. SURPRISE!

So in conclusion, yes, Wal-Mart does suck. However, it’s the only place open after midnight and I really needed some shampoo, among other things. I COULD borrow my sister’s, but I could really do without smelling like wild cherry for hours afterward.

At least the parking lot was empty.
